Pamela Saunders - CEO at PSEO: Professional Search Engine Optimization and Internet Marketing
Pamela Saunders was born and raised in Manhattan on New York's upper West Side. She graduated from Montessori School at 5 years old with the highest IQ of any prior student and then attended the Nightingale Bamford School for 12 years.
Bitten by the acting bug at a young age (Scandinavian Children's Theater Company, plus various commercials and modeling jobs), she pursued a BFA in Acting from Ithaca College on a full Scholarship. Within 3 months of graduation, after a brief stint working at a Club Med in the Dominican Republic polishing up on her French, she was cast on All My Children as Rita Hannon, a role ABC created after she had Screen Tested for a completely different part. Consequently after 2 years on AMC, she appeared on "Ryan's Hope"(ABC), "Loving",(ABC) "General Hospital"(ABC), "The Young & the Restless" (CBS) and Days of Our Lives (NBC).
After moving to Los Angeles in 1989, successfully booking parts in a couple of films (Once Again, Alien Warrior) and guest starring on a night time episodic (My Two Dads), Pam learned to wait tables in between jobs. She started out as a hostess at Cafe Figaro, then became the top grossing waitress, was promoted to Manager, created a successful lunch delivery system with mass faxing and local newspaper advertising, quickly was promoted to General Manager and kept the restaurant open for over a year (even after they had moved into Chapter 11), primarily via the profit from the to-go business. They didn not even have a car for deliveries, only one guy with a bicycle and one without!
Realizing her passion for restaurant and local marketing, Pamela was thrilled to turn in her Actor's Union Cards when Michelin rated Alto Palato wooed her to be their General Manager/Event Coordinator/Marketing Director in 1998. She was responsible for the day to day running of the restaurant as well as organizing, negotiating all Private Party contracts, promoting Monthly Wine Tasting Dinners, Weekly Wednesday Regional Dinners and all in-house Special Events; Oscar Parties (3), Film and Television Wrap Parties and Premieres (Mad About You, Will and Grace, Just Shoot Me, Love Boat, BH 90210, 7th Heaven, The Bernie Mac Show, Bringing Down the House) Weddings, Rehearsal Dinners,Pharmaceutical Dinner Programs (Merck, Cardinal Health, Pfizer, Bone Care), Art Shows, Birthdays, Bar Mitzvahs and numerous Corporate Holiday Parties (ICM, HBO, Disney, Warner Bros.). Pamela negotiated, drew up contracts, staffed, ran and billed parties with up to 1,000 guests in attendance.
During this time, she compiled a Preferred Customer Email Database of over 2,000 guests whom she emailed a Weekly Email Blast and began to spread the net even wider by submitting content to Google, Facebook, Upcoming.org, Zvents, Localwineevents.com, Going.com,etc. Internet Press Releases and local media contacts became effective promotional tools, too.
The Owners of Alto Palato opened a boutique chain of restaurants in 2003 called Spark Woodfire Grill (Beverly Hills, Huntington Beach and Studio City) and Pamela took over as Internet Marketing Director. She built one of the first successful restaurant blogs and incorporated linkage into email blasts directly connecting the client to the information on a client's blog or website. After installing tracking software, Pam was able to set up conversion goals and split tests to follow how many people opened the email and more. Key words and phrases in the organic copy were blatantly relevant in driving the major search engines to scan the sites and index the listings.
In 2004, she went into business creating her own company PSEO: Professional Search Engine Optimization and Internet Marketing. She worked with Celestino Drago's restaurants (Drago, Enoteca Drago, Dolce Forno); Elizabeth Hepburn's The Better & Bette Series - a compilation of CDs and DVDs useful for relieving stress with pre and post cancer surgery through a series of visualization/meditation techniques; Nadia Khalil Bradley's new book Origins of Truth; International Stem Cell Corporation (ISCO) - a leading public company in Stem Cell research with human trials scheduled for 2008; Tax Pro Plus - CPA and Accounting Services, Skirball Cultural Center; Melograno Italian restaurant; and Spark Woodfire Grill (I, II, II, III) including their newest incarnation Red Fish Grill - a sustainable seafood restaurant in Simi Valley.
Pamela's skills have widened to incorporate podcasting, digital photography and video. Social networking, tagging, labels, clustering and back link analysis, all facilitate our ability to more specifically define a company's or product's internet niche hence increasing the averages of the audience specific surfer finding them.
She has been an Internet Consultant for Burger King, NASCAR, the National Hot Rod Association, Marriot, Jayar Manufacturing, Centron Fuel, Candy Entertainment, FabFit, Top Hotel Supply, Costa Rica Travel, Pastagina (I, II, III, IV), Awilda Salon in Beverly Hills, Barefoot, The Belmont, Stone Fire Pizza Co., The Spanish Kitchen, and most recently Nancie Brown Cleaning Genius, Ameco Solar, Mindful Nutrition, Miguel Palma CPA, and The Original Anti-Diet..
Her current objective is to build the software and publish E-Books with tools necessary for other startup companies to optimize their own websites in order to make them more visible to the Major Search Engines and teach them how to find the best places to submit their particular linkage which will eventually create the most topic specific traffic.
Pam's company's unique strength is in our ability to create a "skin" or niche branding and use our powerful research tools to seek out the best places to submit both linkage and copy in order to create the most one way traffic back to the site. Intense research and comparative live link testing over the last few years have forced us ahead of the average Internet Marketer.
